Every New Year, nearly half of all American adults make resolutions to live a better life. While many of these resolutions will be broken, research shows that people who explicitly make resolutions are 10 times more likely to attain their goals than those who do not—and almost half are still on track six months later! Public Strategies creates a unique New Year’s gift for our clients, partners, and friends each year. These gifts affirm the spirit of transformation represented by the New Year while celebrating the incredible people and organizations with whom Public Strategies is privileged to work.
At the end of the year, mailboxes are full of cards and wishes. Public Strategies found its holiday greetings lost among many others. The firm wanted its clients, networks, and partners to feel valued, but our message was lost in the clutter. The annual New Year’s gift provides an important opportunity to both show appreciation for our existing clients and partners and to generate new business. Our objective for this year’s mailing was to give a gift with both practical and symbolic value, aligning with our culture and values.
Public Strategies instituted an annual practice of developing a high impact mailer that delivers three messages central to who we are as a firm: Public Strategies values you. Public Strategies is creative. You can change the world. For the most recent year, Public Strategies chose a compass, reflecting our passion for exploring new projects and arenas while remaining committed to our mission of making the world a better place.
This direct mail piece highlighted Public Strategies creative capabilities and garnered numerous expressions of admiration from recipients. Many telephone, email, and in-person exchanges allowed Public Strategies to reconnect with and deepen connections with existing clients and partners, while also engaging new prospects. Furthermore, as some of the recipients showcased the gift to others, it resulted in increased brand awareness and potential new business for Public Strategies.
