“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing nothing for nobody.”

Malcolm Bane

Public Strategies is committed to Oklahoma City. We have a deep responsibility to the community in which we live and work. Giving back is a core part of our culture and one of the most rewarding – and fun – aspects of our work. When asked why people sought to become a member of our team, individuals have mentioned that they wanted to be a part of a company that cares. Because we value giving back, our employees are not only deeply invested in our work, but also invested in the community.

Many of our employees organize and participate in annual events such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night fundraiser and the Reading Explorers summer camp and weekly Reading Coach program. Walking, beautifying the city, or volunteering at local elementary schools can sometimes mean lengthier hours and an extended work week, but we know the investment is time well spent.

Further, our team goes above and beyond their typical work expectations to advance the causes we care most about. As actively engaged citizens, our employees go beyond giving money to find ways to leverage their time, talent and connections in order to create broader change across the Oklahoma City community.

We are a compassionate team that cares deeply about our community’s success.

“Giving is the highest expression of potency. In the very act of giving, I experience my strength, my wealth, my power. This experience of heightened vitality and potency fills me with joy. I experience myself as overflowing, spending, alive, hence as joyous. Giving is more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness.”

Erich Fromm
