A dynamic director and team leader, Katherine N. Cooper has extensive experience on state and federal projects focused on low-income and other vulnerable populations. She joined Public Strategies in 2017 as a Senior Project Manager, where she led efforts on multiple state and federally funded projects that provide valuable support and training to Oklahomans. Now serving as the Statewide Services Director, Cooper spearheads ambitious human services projects that improve the well-being of families in concrete ways. She oversees a training portfolio for Public Strategies that includes the Oklahoma Human Services-funded Wellspring and PossABLE projects. Cooper has seamlessly organized dozens of meetings and conferences that provide capacity-building and educational opportunities for state staff, practitioners, and individuals. Her leadership helps mobilize resources and expertise to support some of Oklahoma’s most underserved populations, including individuals with disabilities.
She has led the development of a learning community focused on improving client engagement for safety net programs in several states. Cooper has also implemented statewide workforce initiatives that connect businesses and workers and provide education and training services for job seekers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Urban Education from Langston University.
